Its now legal to serve free wine and beer in barber shops in Oklahoma

A new law went into effect in Oklahoma today. It allows certain businesses, including barber shops and salons to serve complimentary wine and beer on site to those 21 years old or older. Senate Bill 813, by Sen. Stephanie Bice, R-Oklahoma City, puts the limit at two alcoholic beverages, 12 ounces of wine and 24 ounces of beer per day per guest. Bice said the measure would allow nail salons and barber shops, among other businesses, to offer complimentary beverages.     Dozens of people gathered in northwest Baltimore, Maryland Saturday to honor a local barber and photographer recently killed. Kenny “Bean” Whitley, 33, was shot and killed on Dolfield Avenue in northwest Baltimore earlier in the week. A motive remains unclear. Kennybean is well known for his sharp cuts and great eye for photography throughout the barbering industry. A beloved barber was killed, and a customer wounded, in a shooting at a barbershop in Hawthorne. The shooting was reported about 11 a.m. in the 14100 block of Crenshaw Boulevard, right in front of the En Effect barber shop, according to Sgt.
